		<description><![CDATA[I suspect that transhumanism would take heat from numerous schools of thought, with it Lacanian which in particular would no doubt characterize transhumanism as yet another ideological coping mechanism designed to paper over the void of despair. Even if engaged in, it would sooner or later crack and crumble under the pressure of a a fictive teleology, as all others have. The &quot;solution&quot; may well entail the destruction of humanity, not it&#039;s alleged transcendence, never mind that very few seem to be able to fully realize their humanity in the first place. The petty fable that technology can function as a savior is not new, and it is surprising that there are still those who cling to it and haven&#039;t since moved on to newer and shinier fictions.]]></description>
