I think technology does present us with a kind of saving power, but we haven’t worked out what it is we want to save and so risk everything to pursue technology for its own sake, which dangerously seems to mime the drive for money for its own sake.

Even if engaged in, it would sooner or later crack and crumble under the pressure of a a fictive teleology, as all others have. The “solution” may well entail the destruction of humanity, not it’s alleged transcendence, never mind that very few seem to be able to fully realize their humanity in the first place. The petty fable that technology can function as a savior is not new, and it is surprising that there are still those who cling to it and haven’t since moved on to newer and shinier fictions.
